LICENSE OF USE
- DESCRIPTION
Scanframe is closed-source software distributed under a Donationware model. If you find value in this software, you are invited to make a voluntary donation to the developer.
- DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this license:
Software: Executables, components, associated files, and documentation of Scanframe.
User: Any natural or legal person who uses the software.
Distribution: Copying and sharing the software only in its original and unaltered form.
Personal Use: Use of the Software by an individual for private, domestic, or recreational purposes, unrelated to professional, labor, institutional, formal educational, or commercial activities. Personal use does not generate income nor form part of any service, product, project, or economic activity that is directly or indirectly compensated.
Educational Use: Use of the Software in teaching, learning, training, academic research, or formative development activities. Includes use by students, teachers, researchers, educational institutions, independent instructors, and nonprofit entities.
Commercial Use: Use of the Software in professional, labor, business, institutional, or economic activities.
Donation: A voluntary contribution without contractual obligation.
- PERMISSIONS
The User is granted a non-exclusive, worldwide license without limitations other than those established in this license to:
Use the software for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
Access and use the software without payment, registration, or activation.
Provide services or carry out compensated activities in which the User employs the Software, in whole or in part, as a tool, as long as the compensation arises exclusively from the service or work performed, and not from the sale, rental, or commercialization of the Software.
- RESTRICTIONS
The User agrees to the following conditions:
4.1 PROHIBITION OF SALE
It is not permitted to sell, rent, license, or commercialize the software as a standalone product nor include it as part of paid software.
4.2 MODIFICATIONS
It is not permitted to modify, decompile, disassemble, or alter the software.
Distributing modified, derived, or altered versions is not authorized.
4.3 DISTRIBUTION
It is not permitted to upload, host, or make the Software available in public or private repositories, download platforms, software catalogs, or similar services that generate income directly or indirectly.
4.4 ATTRIBUTION
When the software is used in Educational or Commercial activities, the User must provide a mention or attribution to the Software, indicating the name “Scanframe,” in the form and location the User deems appropriate, provided that it is reasonable within the context of use. This attribution does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or association between the User and the developer.
4.5 PROHIBITED USE
The software may not be used for illegal, fraudulent, or rights-violating activities.

Donations do not grant additional rights or special privileges over the software, nor do they guarantee the continuity of development.
- DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” THE DEVELOPER MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. - APPLICABLE LAW
This license shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the developer’s country of residence, without prejudice to mandatory rules applicable in the User’s jurisdiction. If any clause is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

- DESCRIPCIÓN
Scanframe es un software de código cerrado distribuido bajo un modelo Donationware. Si encuentras valor en este software, se invita a realizar una donación voluntaria al desarrollador.
- DEFINICIONES
A efectos de esta licencia:
Software: Ejecutables, componentes, archivos asociados y documentación de Scanframe.
Usuario: Persona física o jurídica que utilice el software.
Distribución: Copiar y compartir el software únicamente en su forma original e íntegra.
Uso Personal: Utilización del Software por una persona para fines privados, domésticos o recreativos, sin relación con actividades profesionales, laborales, institucionales, educativas formales ni comerciales. El uso personal no genera ingresos ni forma parte de un servicio, producto, proyecto o actividad económica directa o indirectamente remunerada.
Uso Educativo: Utilización del Software en actividades de enseñanza, aprendizaje, capacitación, investigación académica o desarrollo formativo, Incluye su uso por estudiantes, docentes, investigadores, centros educativos, instructores independientes y entidades sin ánimo de lucro.
Uso Comercial: Utilización del Software en actividades profesionales, laborales, empresariales, institucionales o económicas.
Donación: Contribución voluntaria sin obligación contractual.
- PERMISOS
Se concede al Usuario una licencia no exclusiva, mundial y sin limitaciones de uso distintas a las establecidas en esta licencia para:
Usar el software con propósito personal, educativo o comercial.
Acceder y utilizar el software sin pago, registro ni activación.
Prestar servicios o realizar actividades remuneradas en las que el Usuario emplee el Software parcial o totalmente como herramienta, siempre que la remuneración se derive exclusivamente del servicio o trabajo realizado, y no de la venta, alquiler o comercialización del Software.
- RESTRICCIONES
El Usuario acepta las siguientes condiciones:
4.1 PROHIBICIÓN DE VENTA
No está permitido vender, alquilar, licenciar o comercializar el software como producto independiente ni incluirlo como parte de un software de pago.
4.2 MODIFICACIONES
No se permite modificar, descompilar, desensamblar o alterar el software.
No se autoriza distribuir versiones modificadas, derivadas o alteradas.
4.3 DISTRIBUCIÓN
No está permitido subir, alojar ni poner a disposición el Software en repositorios públicos o privados, plataformas de descarga, catálogos de software o servicios similares, que generen ingresos directa o indirectamente.
4.4 ACREDITACIÓN
Cuando el software sea utilizado en actividades Educativas o Comerciales, el Usuario deberá otorgar una mención o acreditación al Software, indicando el nombre “Scanframe”, en la forma y lugar que considere pertinente, siempre que ello sea razonable dentro del contexto de uso. Esta acreditación no implica patrocinio, respaldo ni asociación entre el Usuario y el desarrollador.
4.5 USO PROHIBIDO
El software no podrá emplearse para actividades ilegales, fraudulentas o que vulneren derechos de terceros.

Las donaciones no otorgan derechos adicionales ni privilegios especiales sobre el software, ni garantía de continuidad del desarrollo.
- EXENCIÓN DE RESPONSABILIDAD
EL SOFTWARE SE PROPORCIONA “TAL CUAL” Y “SEGÚN DISPONIBILIDAD”. EL DESARROLLADOR NO OTORGA GARANTÍAS DE NINGÚN TIPO, YA SEAN EXPRESAS O IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUYENDO, ENTRE OTRAS, GARANTÍAS DE COMERCIABILIDAD, IDONEIDAD PARA UN PROPÓSITO PARTICULAR, DISPONIBILIDAD, EXACTITUD O AUSENCIA DE ERRORES. EN NINGÚN CASO EL DESARROLLADOR SERÁ RESPONSABLE POR DAÑOS DIRECTOS, INDIRECTOS, INCIDENTALES, ESPECIALES, EJEMPLARES O CONSECUENTES DERIVADOS DEL USO O IMPOSIBILIDAD DE USO DEL SOFTWARE, AUN CUANDO SE LE HAYA ADVERTIDO DE LA POSIBILIDAD DE TALES DAÑOS. - LEY APLICABLE
Esta licencia se interpretará y aplicará conforme a las leyes del país de residencia del desarrollador, sin perjuicio de las normas imperativas que resulten aplicables en la jurisdicción del Usuario. Si alguna cláusula se considera inválida o inaplicable, las demás disposiciones permanecerán en pleno efecto.
El uso, ejecución o distribución del Software implica la aceptación plena de los términos de esta licencia por parte del Usuario.
