I'll look into an adding an option for manual/automatic update check. In regards to the expand to subfolder issue, AFAIK, there's nothing I can do about that. However, I have noticed that if you use the drive icon listed under "This PC", instead of the one that's by itself, it doesn't expand. Hope that helps. Did the General items column settings propagate to your NAS folder views? |

I removed the automatic version check. I found that with my VPN software enabled, it might do the version check instantly or cause a 5 second delay. Security weirdness I guess. So, it seems best to make the check manual. The new beta now shows the current version in the title bar and there's a new button (🚀) you can click to check for a new version. If there's no newer version, it just changes its label to tell you that. If a newer version is available, it will take you to the home page that has the download links. |

Now that I've used WinSetView a few times and on multiple PC's, I'm very happy with how Explorer works. Thanks for this great software! I would like to see an option to disable the automatic checking for updates though. Right now I just set my firewall to block the access request, but that results in the app hanging for a short period (which isn't the end of the world, just an annoyance of mine!).
The 2nd request would be to ask if you can do anything to prevent the navigation tree from automatically expanding just because I selected a sub-folder within an attached USB drive. In my scenario, I have an HP EliteDesk PC with 4 bay USB drive enclosure, where my D, E, F and G drives reside. Each time I open a sub-folder, the tree expands to show drive and folder, even though I have unchecked "Expand to open folder" in the View options.
I've seen many people complain about this, but I really don't think much can be done about it, and it might be out of scope for your software anyway.
