What They're Building

Muhammad has already demonstrated the ability to get PRs merged in open-source Rust projects — including a merged PR to SurrealDB, one of the fastest-growing Rust database projects. He is now applying that same skillset to Bitcoin.

Current pipeline:

  • Working through Floresta — a Bitcoin full node implementation in Rust, ideal for first Bitcoin contributions
  • Studying BDK (Bitcoin Dev Kit) — the Rust wallet library
  • Exploring SeedSigner — the open-source Bitcoin hardware signing device

First Bitcoin PR: Imminent, expected to Floresta or BDK.

Why This Matters

Muhammad's existing track record (merged SurrealDB PR) proves he can navigate real open-source projects and get code accepted. He's not starting from zero — he's applying proven open-source skills to Bitcoin. That makes his first Bitcoin PR far more likely to succeed than a typical beginner's attempt.
