Nodes 2.0, no thanks #11074

And one more thing I forgot, the new nodes take up twice the space of the "legacy" nodes for the same functionality; which means it will break the layout of a workflow share between people who use different node types. |

There are 121 pages of open issues that need to be fixed. Yet, they are spending time creating lots of new issues with this very buggy Nodes 2.0 crap. Still can't change control_after_generate on the KSampler or Int nodes. The queue just disappeared. Finally found the new spot but it's hidden unless you put your mouse over a magic spot. That's UNIVERSAL UI DESIGN MISTAKE NUMBER ONE!!! Never hide UI controls. Why isn't it still attached to the "Q" key at least? |

tjdennis, yes, tons of issues and now they introduce something that breaks a ton of other things and introduces many problems, even if it was working properly. My main concern is that this changes point to a focus on mobile use for ComfyUI, even if they sort out all the problems I listed the large, thumb sized UI is meant for use on tablets and phones. This, to me, signals the beggining of ComfyUI focusing on being an API frontend rather than a tool for local generation. |

Please don't turn this into the default option until you figure out how to display text correctly.
Better yet, keep the "legacy" nodes as default, I haven't seen a single thing Nodes 2.0 improves over those.
Just from a few minutes of use:
At the moment zooming in and out of nodes is, literally, an eyesore. All text is blurred for a moment and then it sharpens, 5 minutes of that and I do not want to deal with that behaviour ever again.
Also, drop down menus appear under other nodes, making them useless... and sometimes they extend up, so nodes that have long drop down lists would need be be vertically isolated from other nodes. Not good. At all.
Can't type in fractional values, only full numbers. The fact that the click and slide behaviour to change values is missing makes the problem much worse, changing a value to x.5 takes 50 clicks on the plus or minus buttons ffs... Just this makes this new UI unusable.
Bypassed nodes are translucent, and so are their drop down menus which make reading them nearly impossible when they overlay over other nodes.
Some inputs are invisible, making them hard to see and impossible to color match.
And that's from just a few minutes of using the new nodes; sorry, it's terrible.
It's terrible not just because all this (and probably more problems), it's terrible because it says things about the direction of development of ComfyUI, releasing something so broken its worrying.
