🇸🇪 One impact that Govdirectory has had was during the creating of the query for Swedish agencies abroad. We noted inconsistencies in the sources at the national agency registry, the government website and the webpage at the state department with agencies abroad. This led to updates in two place. (Archived Freedom of Information request. Unfortunately, the response has been lost as the FOI site had to reset.) |

I once heard about a (Swedish) government agency that discovered social media accounts they did not knew existed which led them to track down someone internally who had access. |

A university course in Semantic Modeling at HTW Berlin have been using Govdirectory as a topic for their summer course every summer since 2022. See list of countries that has been worked on at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Government |

This is a thread to capture the impact Govdirectory has had in the world. Any stories and anecdotes of how you have used Govdirectory, learned from it or been able to get in touch with the right contact are welcome here.
(As we are inherently constantly evolving and improving Wikidata itself, that is not the kind of impact we are looking for here, but you are welcome to share such stories on the WikiProject talk page.)
