Hey everyone!
massCode has come a long way β from a simple snippet manager to a full-featured developer tool with Markdown Vault, Spaces, Notes, Math Notebook, and a VS Code extension. All of this is free, open-source, and built by a solo developer.
But here's the thing: great tools don't spread themselves. And massCode deserves to reach more developers who would genuinely benefit from it.
Here's how you can help:
Star the repo if you haven't already β it's the simplest signal that helps with discoverability on GitHub.
Write about massCode β a blog post, a tweet, a mention in your "dev tools I use" list, a short review on Product Hunt or AlternativeTo. Anything counts.
Recommend massCode when someone asks "what snippet manager do you use?" on Reddit, Hacker News, Dev.to, Stack Overflow, or Discord communities.
Make a video or tutorial β even a 2-minute screen recording showing your workflow with massCode can inspire someone to try it.
Share the link β https://masscode.io. The more people see it, the more contributors and ideas we get.
I've been building massCode solo since 2019. In that time the project has grown to 6.7k stars β almost entirely through organic discovery. I'm a developer, not a marketer β I don't have a big X following, I don't do PR, and I've never been great at self-promotion. So the project grows slowly, mostly when someone stumbles upon it and thinks "hey, this is actually good."
That's where you come in. Every star, every mention, every recommendation in a random Reddit thread β it all matters more than you think. The bigger the community, the better the tool becomes for everyone.
Thanks for being part of this. π
Best,
Anton
