Intellij Plugin Project

Hi Flocon Team,

First off, thank you for creating such an excellent project! I've been using Flocon to migrate away from FB Flipper, and it's already become a tool I rely on daily for debugging and inspection.

What I'm Building

I've been working on an IntelliJ IDEA plugin that brings Flocon's debugging capabilities directly into the IDE. The goal is to provide developers with networking inspection and debugging data integrated seamlessly into their development workflow.

The plugin reuses portions of the desktop app's codebase (included as a git submodule) to maintain consistency with Flocon's core functionality. Currently, it's focused on debugging and inspecting network traffic, though it doesn't provide the complete feature set of the desktop app.

Current Status & Plans

• The repository is currently private while I establish coding standards and best practices
• I'm planning to publish it to the JetBrains Plugin Marketplace once it's stable
• The plugin will also be licensed under MIT with proper attribution back to the Flocon project
• The plugin would serve as an alternative interface to Flocon for developers who prefer working within their IDE

Why I'm Reaching Out

Before moving forward publicly, I wanted to:

1. Confirm proper attribution approach—I plan to clearly credit Flocon as the underlying technology and make it explicit that my plugin is a separate project from Flocon. I'll direct users to report any plugin-specific issues to my repository rather than yours, though I realize some users may not pay attention to this distinction
2. Get your thoughts on naming—Since the plugin requires Flocon to function, I was considering naming it something like "Flocon IntelliJ Plugin" or similar. Would you prefer I avoid using "Flocon" in the plugin name, or is that acceptable to you?

I'm happy to share more details about the plugin's architecture and approach if you're interested.

actually the project is open source, that's a really good addition, and I really appreciate it

it's really up to you to give the name you want, I can also add you as developer of this project and authorize you to host the project inside our org if you want :)

I've published the project at https://github.com/setheclark/flocon-intellij. The plugin is also available in the JetBrains Marketplace https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/30172-flocon-network-inspector.

There are still many things I want to fix about the plugin, but its in a relatively stable state for basic network monitoring within the IDE.
