Code base destination?

Is the code base intended to grow towards any particular language? I see a lot of Python3 and classic PHP, but I'm unclear if there's any desire to migrate in one direction or another.

If a new project were to start (no plan, just musing!) would it be preferred to be in Python?

Python is being actively maintained. There is PHP, some active som not. I can't really speak to that.
