After struggling for a while with customizing the components, especially the
Inputcomponent, I realized all I really need for many components is the ability to provide my own CSS (tailwind) class names.I know that there are CSS variables available to override, but these only cover a small part of all the things I would like to change, such as spacing, padding, etc. I also have had issues with conflicting styles when trying to include the default CSS file from the package, as I have my own tailwind setup and my own custom classes and themes there, which broke things in very odd ways.
Don't know if this is a feasible feature at all, or if it has already been dismissed, but it feels like it would be a good middleground before committing to overriding every component from scratch.
A potential API, inspired by MUI Component APIs would be something like:
