How do I update the plugin for vscode?

Yes, that was the last published version of the plugin.

You can get a newer one by cloning https://github.com/vlang/vls and building it yourself (instructions in the README), then installing from the .vsix file created.

Nope. I have one built from the latest code in vlang/vls

Works fine for me on Linux. Try uninstalling the old one, since it will fight with the new one - they'll both try to handle V files.

You'll also need to build the new vls, and copy the exe to /tmp/vls2 (as the README tells you to do).

I've tried it three times. I've compiled everything using wls2 ubuntu22. It doesn't work. I suspect it's a problem with the plugin, not with "vls"...

I'll use "v-analyzer" for now (I can't do without it)))

This will hopefully get resolved, and you'll just need to update the plugin and it will straighten out the rest. No, I don't have a timeframe for the update - it'll be whenever someone with the time & interest makes everything work... then we have to go back to those "hoops" to get a new version of the plugin published. :-\
