Feature Request: Remote access to control TaskSync from phone/browser

Heyyy @4regab,

Wanted to flag something useful!

Someone forked the repo (intuitiv/TaskSync) and added remote access, a local web server you start from the TaskSync panel. Your phone connects to it on the same network, enters a PIN, and gets the full TaskSync UI. Works while your screen is locked.

They also added PWA support so it installs like an app on your phone.

Might be worth pulling that in or reaching out to them directly: https://github.com/intuitiv/TaskSync

Unfortunately, the intuitiv/TaskSync fork doesn't have issues open, so I couldn't reach out directly there. However, I did find a similar fork, rajeevreddyms5/vscode-flowcommand that implements similar remote access functionality.

I reached out to the author 3 weeks ago, and they mentioned they may submit a PR, but there haven't been any updates since. Maybe you can try bumping this issue

Actually I'm planning to add this in a future update, but I haven't had the time to build it yet. If you plan to work on this you can make a PR that I can contribute to

Heyyy, please carry on, I haven’t properly started yet as I’ve been busy at work! I've made some refactoring changes and also done some changes but I haven't tested it yet tbh. Not sure if everything works properly. If you can wait a day, I'll put in the PR :)

Hey @4regab I've made a lot of refactoring changes to ensure we're following a Single Source of Truth and I think it kinda works, you okay with me adding a pull request? Let me know if you're still working on it. Its a lot of changes haha. I had to do it to ensure remote and local are synced up. There is quite a bit of testing to do haha

Click on the Connection icon:

Choose Remote connection:

You should get a link i.e. your local ip with a port number such as http://XXX.XXX.XX.XXX:3580#pin=148511

Now you can connect to your phone if you're on the same network. I checked with tailscale and it seemed to be working too
