Question: Is this software supported on Windows?

I just read through the README and noticed that Windows is indeed supported, and it looks like a custom Windows backend for libkrun has been implemented. That's awesome!

Could you share a bit more about the current state of completion on Windows? Is it stable enough for basic/simple usage at this stage, or is it still highly experimental?

Yes, we have implemented core functionality on Windows with a custom Windows backend for libkrun. Here's the current status:

• Core functionality: Implemented and working for basic usage
• Some features: Still under development and testing
• Active development: Most of the work is being carried out in our forked repository at https://github.com/A3S-Lab/libkrun

For production use cases, we recommend testing thoroughly in your environment. If you encounter any issues, feel free to open an issue in our main repository.

Current Status: Near Production-Ready (~95%)

Implemented Features

• ✅ Core VMM (VM lifecycle, vCPU, memory management, IRQ chip)
• ✅ virtio-block
• ✅ virtio-net (basic functionality, TSO not yet implemented)
• ✅ virtio-balloon
• ✅ virtio-vsock + TSI
• ✅ virtio-console
• ✅ virtio-rng
• ✅ virtio-snd (NullBackend only)
• ✅ virtio-fs (most syscalls, missing mknod, link, copy_file_range)

Major Limitations
