Stops working if no devices are connected to CAN bus #1

Hello,

I am having an issue that if all the CAN devices are powered down for some amount of time while I am still sending messages to the bus from python, I don't get any errors other than some Socket Timeout but once all the devices are powered back on, I can't send or receive CAN messages.

Is there a simple way to reset the module?
