The memory manager didn't account for blocks larger than MAXSIZE in all cases, which can happen for example when adding >1GB of initial memory to a module or, theoretically, when merging blocks where memory grew to >1GB . Instead of splitting defensively, which would require extra logic, this change always uses the last list for oversized blocks (these are split anyway before use) while also getting rid of two branches previously guarding for this case when attempting to merge.
