add samples for SDK authors to customize our generated code

It would be good to add samples for common customizations, i.e. "how do I rename an operation?", "how do I change a method signature?". Additionally, we can iterate on the generated instructions in the patch.py file here as well, maybe include a couple of examples there as well.
