Local Variables #3
Description
The functions don't use local variable and it's a problem if people are sourcing the script because their variables would be lost if they happen to have the same name such as NO_SHELL or originaldir.
Also the helper functions don't use namespace like the main functions. Not sure if it will create any problem.
Should be an easy fix.
