Steamdeck LCD - Amd audio coprocessor recognized but not available.

I encounter an issue when performing a full system upgrade today 12-5-2025. The audio coprocessor (internal speakers) is not available in the sound settings.

Inxi -A comand shows the device is recognized.

I attempted the following:

• reinstall all packages
• downgrade pipewire pipewire-alsa pipewire-audio pipewire-pulse qt5- plugin-pipewire
• clean reinstall

I was having the issue with the following kernels.

Linux-cachyos-deckify 6.18.0-2
Linux-cachyos-deckify-lto 6.18.0-2

I switched to linux-cachyos 6.17.9-2, now the audio coprocessor is recognized and working.

I didn't see any previous versions of the kernel with the deckify tag, in the kernel manager, at time of my original post.

I also experienced this issue (CachyOS Desktop on Steam Deck LCD 512 gigabyte)! Downgrading also fixed it for me so its definitely an issue with 6.18.0.

Had the same issue, downgrading the kernel fixed it.

What happens here is that when the subsystem ID is found via HID path, the return value isn't reset back to 0 so driver wrongfully fails to load.

Before 6.18, the kernel never printed anything when the subsystem ID isn't found so the returns were simpler to handle
