Sometimes CS-S freezes when autocomplete is active

In this particular case I was accidentally clicking the \ instead of backspace. The greyed-out autocomplete popup in the attached screenshot insisted on being the window on top of all other applications on my computer until I forced CS-S to close.

Can't reproduce, but then I likely have a different setup.
Your CSS might be configured to get PV names from the channel finder, I get them from a local RDB.
Fetching the list of PVs takes time, but that's supposed to be handled in the background.

What might help is a stack trace that shows where it's stuck, be it getting the list or displaying the list.

1. Find the task ID. Type "jps" in a terminal and look for a process "org.eclipse.equinox.launcher"
2. Then, when it freezes, type "jstack 123", using the task ID obtained in step 1.
