Reduced Resource Usage?

firstly, i have really enjoyed using this and i am very happy with the results, thank you for this.

i notice that even if i build the simple kink example and use it in a daw, the plugin is using between 3% to 4% of my computers resources, whereas if i load another similar plugins they range in the 0.4%, roughly 10 times less.

have there been any updates or new versions of this that have reduced resource usage?

is the issue in max or juce? are there unnecessary options included that i can remove when building audio vs midi plugins?

i realize this is a big general ask without seeing my code but i appreciate any leads or help.
