Getting lots of test failures now in iteration 2 of 2024.1. Let's try 2024.4 first. bot: build repo:eessi.io-2023.06-software instance:eessi-bot-deucalion for:arch=aarch64/a64fx |

@bedroge So do we need this deployed? |
Not sure anymore, looks like it's not needed for 2024.4. Maybe it was just an issue for 2024.1, which has failing tests anyway. Let's first wait for the final 2024.3+4 builds to be completed in the software-layer PR. |

Trying to build 2024.2 now, to find out if the issue was solved in 2024.2 or 2024.3. bot: build repo:eessi.io-2023.06-software instance:eessi-bot-deucalion for:arch=aarch64/a64fx |

The failures that we've seen for Neoverse V1 seem very similar to the ones seen on A64FX, so let's try to apply the same workaround. bot: build repo:eessi.io-2023.06-software instance:eessi-bot-deucalion for:arch=aarch64/a64fx |

These workarounds were not necessary in the end, GROMACS 2024.x versions for A64FX have been added in EESSI/software-layer#1308 and EESSI/software-layer#1302. So, closing this. |
The builds in EESSI/software-layer#1302 were causing node failures, so let's try reducing the number of cores.
