Opening 1.01-41 Desktop App not requiring sign in

Problem

I updated and opened the desktop Chat app, and was on a blank chat window - no chats, no avatar. I had to "sign out" to bring up the sign in page and access chats.

Solution

Have the app open on sign in page when a new version is first opened

Potentially related: since today's update I'm unable to sign in via the desktop app. It flashes the interface then kicks me back to login.

Edit: exiting and reopening fixed that.
