Not receiving new chat messages, refreshing logs out and results "404 No User with that partner ID"

I'm not receiving new chat messages. when I try to refresh, I get booted with the message "404 No User with that partner ID" at login. This happens on web and desktop.

I'm on version 1.0.1-45 (1.0.1-45).

Logging in multiple times seems to resolve.

Hm, I'm actually receiving a non-responsive login prompt in the desktop app now.

I've had similar issues today, on multiple versions.
My order of operations is something like.

• Try it a couple times, since I've got in on the second time before (reason unknown)
• Close desktop or web
• Clear cache https://www.expensify.com/signout?clean=true
• reopen desktop or web again and try a couple times
• if still not working, close again then try to login to supportal - https://www.expensify.com/_support/index?action=restoreStashedLogin
• if not still.... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

weird tiny thing... instead of hitting the return key after entering the 2FA code, can you click the 'login' button and see if that makes a difference? On iOS mobile app, I wasn't able to get in twice but was a third time when I clicked the button

I tried both ways -- when I'm experiencing the error, nothing seems to work

Did you try closing the tab? Then re-visiting chat.expensify.com? That worked for me.

This happened for me on desktop, not web, so there was no tab to close. It also happened on mobile. I was able to resolve both by fully quitting the app and reopening. I was logged in before it updated though, so perhaps that's a bug? Maybe unrelated.

This keeps happening to me as well. It has something to do with the local storage states getting messed up. If you clear the Ion data out, close the tab and open a new one, you can get back in. Seems to happen ~ every 2 hours, so maybe something with the calls to re-auth are not working?

Happening to me and had multiple people ping me about. Bumping to CRITICAL, adding to Milestone and dropping into #engineering (and.. hopefully #deprecate-slack) to see if we can get someone to help.

Took me absolutely ages this morning too. Lots of clearing history/cache/browser restarts.
