Action Performed:

1. Open www.staging.new.expensify.com
2. Enter new phone number using country code without a + to create a new account
3. Tap join

Expected Result:

New account is created

Actual Result:

Join button loads briefly then nothing happens

Tried on 9.0.2-0, entering "12025643894" doesn't allow to open signup modal. Error msg stop from proceeding signup.

I think entering phone num w/o country code should not be allowed.

It is only reproducible on staging. Maybe any regression raise this issue?

The bug is actually for VoIP numbers, we are not allowed to enter those, I guess this has been discussed previously as well, we block use of VoIP numbers

@kadiealexander , if we try the number used by QA with a + then also the same bugs occurs on production too:
