Action Performed:

1. Open https://staging.new.expensify.com/
2. Tap search icon
3. Type something and search
4. Tap Cancel (notice text is removed from search bar)
5. Type something
6. Tap Cancel

Expected Result:

Text on search field should be removed as step 4

Actual Result:

Text is still on search field

@adelekennedy FYI I haven't added the External label as I wasn't 100% sure about this issue. Please take a look and add the label if you agree it's a bug and can be handled by external contributors.

This was probably caused by #55078, which was reverted. Can we retest to confirm the issue is gone please?
