Problem

Our code is low quality which leads to code that is hard to debug, hard to maintain, and creates thousands of small unique bugs that we are constantly chasing.

Solution

Identify and remove anti-patterns in our code so that we can have pristine, bug-free components

• Investigate and audit our code to understand what anti-patterns we have
• Hold a pre-design to decide the best approach for removing the anti-patterns
• Run a design doc to implement the plan
• Write down the best practices (in the philosophy docs)
• Put stuff in place to prevent the bad patterns from being reintroduced
