Action Performed:

1. Open the mobile app, tap on the search router (little magnifying glass icon)
2. With the Search page open leave the app
3. Now go to the camera roll
4. Tap a picture of a receipt
5. Tap the share icon, choose the Expensify app

Expected Result:

I see a page to Share or Submit

Actual Result:

I only see Search page

Please re-state the problem that we are trying to solve in this issue.

• Opening the search router and leaving the app breaks the “share sheet” flow

What is the root cause of that problem?

• If a modal is opened and then the user navigates to the file-sharing flow, the modal remains visible even after selecting the app in step 5. This leads to a confusing or broken UI state.

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

• We should ensure the modal is closed when the Share screen is mounted. This can be achieved by calling Modal.close() inside a useEffect hook in the ShareRootPage.tsx file at this line.
