I have addressed Neil's finding on slight outline in #20470 (comment), but looks like that is due to Webkit browser behaviour, only happens on long press right after page reload, does not affect the app functional behaviour.
The PR here has fixed the text selection problem reported in the original issue.

disable user select on mobile web sidebar chat list, so that long pressing on mobile web will not select huge chunk of text, and does not trigger mobile OS copy/paste menu.
