Details
When we originally added this code I believe we were not relying on Pusher's reconnection mechanism to fetch data when returning from sleep or closed laptop. The sleep timer existed to help bridge any gaps. It seems like Pusher is able to catch up and the sleep timer doesn't work reliably anyway so it's being removed.
If we experience future problems we can come up with a Pusher based solution.
