  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers
• I followed the guidelines as stated in the Review Guidelines

@jayeshmangwani Hi I just fixed the issue. It was intriguing debugging the navigation actions so took quite a long time.

Using dismissModalWithReport will replace the TestDriveModalNavigator by ReportsSplitNavigator whose state only includes the /r/reportID route itself without the /home route so browser back button does not work. It also leads to two duplicated ReportSplitsNavigator on top of each other which is not the correct state.

So I think the simplest solution here is to delay the admin report navigation by setNavigationActionToMicrotaskQueue until after modal dismissal action succeeds. After completely removing TestDriveModalNavigator => we only have the ReportsSplitNavigator remaining in the root stack whose state includes the /home route => navigating to the report would append /r/reportID route to the same above ReportsSplitNavigator stack history => history: ['/home', '/r/reportID'

I just retested all platforms with 2 scenarios: app and browser/device back button and they all worked fine.

Also note that delaying the navigation by isNavigationReady promise does not work on mWeb, pressing browser back button completely removes the web page.
