I found something of interest. After implementing the password for a message, and then closing the Flowcrypt App and waiting approximately 15 minutes the password logon disconnects.

While the app remembers the pass phrase for up to 4 hours, iOS may kill the app in between if the app is in background, especially if the system is low on memory or wants to save battery. So when you come back to the app, it may or may not remember depending on the system.

If you close the app and leave the phone alone for an hour, maybe it would remember?

It lasts for an hour after I close the app (in the background). When I go back to the app, I can still send an encrypted message.

But when I close the app completely, It asks me for the passphrase to enter before composing and sending a new encrypted message.

This is expected behavior - an app in background remembers it up to 4 hours.

A force-quit app will forget it whenever it quit.
