Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Enable Sound in Fossify Keyboard Settings
2. Go to any Text Field
3. Type anything

Expected behavior

The typing Sound is as loud as Androids “System” Volume Setting

Actual behavior

The typing Sound is as loud as the highest possible System Volume Setting

Enable Sound in Fossify Keyboard Settings

• Which option did you choose in Fossify Keyboard? Follow system or Always on?
• Do you have this problem in other Keyboard apps when sound is enabled?

1. I chose “Follow System”, though “Always on” has the same Bug.
2. Setting HeliBoard to use Sound at “System Default” Volume makes it too loud, just like Fossify Keyboard.
   Though HeliBoard lets me set another Volume, which is an easy Workaround.

That means the system volume stream is not designed to control keyboard sounds, or that specific system software has a bug. I tested on another Samsung with OneUI 8 and Android 16, and there, the system volume does affect key tap sounds.

Maybe worth adding. Please file a feature request for customizing key press volume.
