How to add data for examples?

I am making a tutorial for the x2_sys. I wonder how should I add data files so the users could replicate the examples.

For my example I will using the files within this folder: https://github.com/GenericMappingTools/gmt/tree/master/test/x2sys/bad

Federico, I'm afraid we don't have (yet) a solution for that. For now, only storing it somewhere (The GH page seems the logical candidate) and add an instruction on how to download the data.

For my example, I manage to download the folder with:

svn checkout https://github.com/GenericMappingTools/gmt/trunk/test/x2sys/bad/

Note: in the URL I replace tree/master by trunk

I wonder if this method will work for any OS. I try it on Ubuntu.

Another way to download the folder is with https://downgit.github.io/#/home.

It allows to create a link to click on it and download a zip file.
