Yellow hints for today's russian word (#1757) from the first guess are wrong

My first guess of today's (SPOILERS) contained two yellow hints - none of which are actually in the correct, final word.

I have failed to reproduce it on my phone directly, it may therefore be a local issue, but you may be interested to know its possible, perhaps someone else can reproduce it.

Thanks for the report! We investigated and the color algorithm is correct for today's word — we verified by simulating the exact guess/target combination.

Our best theory is a stale game state from a cached page. If you have Wordle installed as a PWA or had the tab open from the previous day, the service worker may have briefly served a cached page with a different target word, causing the colors to be computed against the wrong word.

We've shipped a fix in our upcoming release: a day rollover guard that detects when the daily word has changed (e.g., tab was backgrounded overnight, or PWA served a stale page) and automatically reloads to pick up the correct word. This should prevent this class of bug going forward.

If you encounter this again, a page refresh should resolve it immediately.
