Forest type classification for European countries

Forest_type_classification.js - code for forest types mapping based on Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data with 10 meters spatial resolution in the Google Earth Engine cloud platform. Forest mapping conducted within the framework of the HORIZON Europe project "Satellites for Wilderness Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking" (SWIFTT) by Space research institute NAS of Ukraine and SSA of Ukraine in collaboration with National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" for the European territory in 2022 and 2024. The methodology is based on Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data from the Copernicus program, providing high spatial resolution imagery at 10 meters and Random Forest classifier.
