Sticky Success Message Blocks

While working locally off the latest 5.1 version of develop, and in another branch built off 5.0, I saw the dataset success message displayed at the top of the page and remain displayed when navigating to other pages, like the file pg, upload files pg, and dataverse pg. (See screenshots.)

This issue appeared after I rebuilt my local dev environment, and upgraded to Payara. Wonder if it has something to do with Payara vs JSF vs the custom components that were built for these message blocks. I did not see this on demo (v. 5.0 build 175-993d0a3).

I think I know what is happening here:

At some point for dev environments we stopped seeing saved xhtml code changes appear with a reload, rather we needed to redeploy the app. We got around this by commenting out two context-param paras in web xml (for dev environment only). It turns out you only need to comment out one, and commenting out the other causes this issue.

So check your web.xml and leave this:

    <context-param>
        <param-name>javax.faces.FACELETS_BUFFER_SIZE</param-name>
        <param-value>102400</param-value>
    </context-param>

while leaving this one commented out (again dev only):

    <!--context-param>
        <param-name>javax.faces.FACELETS_REFRESH_PERIOD</param-name>
        <param-value>-1</param-value>
    </context-param-->

@scolapasta -- apologies that it took so long, but now that I have upgraded my system and running the latest and greatest 5.2020.7 Payara server, and I have revised the commented out context-params in my web.xml based on your suggestion, I can confirm that I am no longer seeing sticky success msg from one page to another. You have my blessing to close this issue.

OK, I edited the description of #6953 to only comment out the one context param.
