DOC: Update the documentation concerning binary data.#111
Conversation
Update the documentation concerning binary data used in ITK. Specifically: - Add the `UploadTestingData.sh` shell script option to `UploadBinaryData.md`. - Refer to `UploadBinaryData.md` in `Data.md` for the content link file generation. - Remove the `CMake Run` section from `Data.md`, since that side car is no longer necessary. Please do not merge patches until after the mirroring has been switched. |

@thewtex ??? I don't know what that means, or how to know when the mirroring has been switched. |
|
Do not merge or push or push to There can only be one canonical Git repository, and other repositories mirror this repository. If merges occur across multiple repositories, it can result in an inconsistent Git history, inconsistent hashes, merge conflicts, ... After the mirroring configuration has been changed, I will post in this thread: https://discourse.itk.org/t/merging-temporarily-suspended/1396 |
…onfiguration-update ENH: Update CI Build to build against 5.0.0.post1
Adds .github/workflows/perf-benchmark.yml — a GitHub Actions workflow that builds ITK twice (merge-base and PR HEAD) with the PerformanceBenchmarking remote module enabled, then drives the ASV harness from InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITKPerformanceBenchmarking#111 against each build to produce an asv compare report. Bumps the PerformanceBenchmarking remote module pin from 7950c1d76095033edbf7601a925cdacc2fe717f9 to 41bf1b9cfbaa1b146e1b3e5d3ad3571b2203ce1e (master HEAD, post-InsightSoftwareConsortium#111). The new pin carries: * asv.conf.json, benchmarks/{core,filtering,segmentation}.py, python/itk_perf_shim/ (the ASV harness). * Hardened examples/Core/itkCopyIterationBenchmark.cxx that no longer crashes on VectorImage under ITK >= 1d87efa (the VLV null-data regression; see InsightSoftwareConsortium#6087 for the parallel ITK-side defensive null-guard). Supersedes the 2019 Azure Pipelines macos-11 approach; macos-11 is retired and the older evaluate-itk-performance.py driver has been replaced by the ASV-native harness. For the very first PR (this one) the merge-base lacks the new pin, so its benchmark run is best-effort and the asv compare step is wrapped with continue-on-error. The workflow becomes fully useful for regression detection after this PR lands.

ITKPerformanceBenchmarking's asv.conf.json (at the pinned SHA 41bf1b9cfbaa1b146e1b3e5d3ad3571b2203ce1e, introduced by InsightSoftwareConsortium#111) still hard-codes branches=['origin/master'], but ITK's default branch has been 'main' for some time. Running `asv run` against origin/main therefore fails with 'Unknown branch origin/master in configuration' and aborts before any benchmark executes. Rather than block this workflow on an upstream fix in ITKPerformanceBenchmarking, patch asv.conf.json in place during the harness-stage step so it references origin/main. The upstream fix should still land in ITKPerformanceBenchmarking's asv.conf.json; once it does, this patch becomes a no-op and can be removed.
