What?

• GovTool FE uses CSL 12.x for serialising Cardano data types
• New versions of CSL have been released, with features that GovTool may want to utilize (i.e. CIP129 DRep id support)
• New versions of CSL enforce the use of 258 tagged sets
• 258 tagged sets break compatibility with Bitbox hardware wallets
• The bitbox team are implementing support, with likely compatibility by end of Feb-mid march
• lets wait until we have confirmed Bitbox compatibility before upgrading GovTool

Why?

• ensure we do not leave bitbox users behind

• wait to upgrade CSL
