Jsecurity Backend Dependencies

To support the Jsecurity frontend and ensure smooth functionality, the Jsecurity backend relies on the following dependencies:

  • bcryptjs (^2.4.3): A library for hashing and comparing passwords securely.
  • cookie-parser (^1.4.6): Middleware for parsing cookies in Express.
  • cors (^2.8.5): Middleware for enabling Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) in Express.
  • dotenv (^16.0.3): A zero-dependency module that loads environment variables from a .env file.
  • express (^4.18.2): A fast and minimalist web application framework for Node.js.
  • jsonwebtoken (^9.0.0): An implementation of JSON Web Tokens (JWT) for Node.js.
  • multer (^1.4.5-lts.1): A middleware for handling multipart/form-data, commonly used for file uploads.
  • mysql (^2.18.1): A Node.js driver for MySQL databases.
  • mysql2 (^3.2.0): A modern, promise-based MySQL library for Node.js.
  • nodemon (^2.0.22): A development utility that automatically restarts the Node.js server when file changes are detected.
  • pg (^8.11.0): A PostgreSQL client for Node.js.
  • sequelize (^6.30.0): A promise-based ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) for Node.js, supporting multiple databases.
  • sequelize-cli (^6.6.0): The Command Line Interface (CLI) for Sequelize, providing a set of helpful commands for database migrations, seeders, etc.

These dependencies enable seamless data management, authentication, and database integration for the Jsecurity backend.
