Can you please write down a step by step method to build this?

This is not an issue but a necessity for the users to know how to build your code on their machines. From the code and screenshots it seems a fantastic project but without some instructions how to build it, like me, many other people would not be able to test it.
I am interested to know which version of Qt should I use and what steps should I follow to successfully compile it on my system because I had failed to compile it successfully in the recent past.

Sure, I will do what you suggest.
Until now, I worked with QtCreator 4.2.1 on Windows, using a 5.8.0 version of Qt. I already built it succesfully on another machine using Qt 5.9.X.
It currently does not build if you use shadow build, because the .pro files are not made to work that way. This is probably the first thing that should be fixed for the project to build correctly anywhere.
Are you building on Linux?

I am using Qt5.9.2 on Windows. I am going to build VirtualPilot again right now and I hope your suggestions would be helpful. I will update you about the progress.
Also can you please write down those steps in the readme file once for everyone?
