Mubaraq Odumeso

CS student at Illinois Institute of Technology. I focus on backend development and have been building a serious interest in machine learning over the past 3 months.

What I Do

Backend engineering is my primary focus. Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker. I also run Linux on my personal machines and set up my own home server with nginx, Docker Compose, and Cloudflare tunnels, which gave me hands-on exposure to DevOps outside of a classroom setting.

On the ML side, I'm actively working on projects and looking to do more. Right now I'm implementing a boosted decision tree system from scratch in PyTorch as part of a school project. I want to keep going in this direction.

Interests

Open to backend and data-focused roles across most stacks and industries. Recently I've been paying close attention to fintech, specifically where backend systems and machine learning meet. Financial data, production ML pipelines, and the engineering behind them is where I want to build deeper experience.
