Summary of Changes
Hello @elvism-lullabot, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request updates the BinaryInstallerPlugin to use a specific, newer version of the task binary. The primary intent, as indicated by the PR title, is to incorporate 'failfast functionality' which is present in this custom binary. This involves changing the download sources and updating the associated checksums and version metadata.
Highlights
- Binary Update: Updated the download URLs for the
taskbinary across all supported platforms (Linux, macOS, Windows) and architectures (amd64, arm, 386, arm64). The new URLs point to a custom releasev3.44.0-no-cancelfrom theelvism-lullabot/taskGitHub repository, replacing the previousv3.38.0release from the officialgo-task/taskrepository. - Checksum Updates: All SHA256 checksums for the
taskbinary releases have been updated to match the newv3.44.0-no-cancelbinaries. - Version Bump: The internal version string for the
taskbinary within the plugin configuration has been updated from3.38.0to3.44.0-no-cancel.

Tested this PR, and reviewed the changes from go-task/task#2307. Everything is working as described, and code changes make sense to me.

@elvism-lullabot let's set failfast default to true so it matches current functionality, in hopes that this is a non-breaking change which they review and merge in faster.... as mentioned in the latest comment. go-task/task#2307 (comment) |
|
@mrdavidburns I have updated the PR and set the default value of 'failfast' to true. |
