My second application to Founders & Coders!
- HTML5
- CSS
- JavaScript
- Started the project in early April (08/04/2021)
- Decided to make the page using tabs instead of a fixed sidebar (11/04/2021)
- Since joining the FAC Discord channel, I've been seeing a lot of wave emojis, so I wanted to add a wave animation to my project 👋🏾 (11/04/2021)
- Also wanted to add an audio file to my project as I hadn't used one prior to this (12/04/2021).
- Completed the content of the About Me section (11/04/2021)
- Made the page picture tiles (flip cards) (17/04_2021)
- Finished the About Me Page (02/05/2021)
- Started on the Why FAC page, decided to make the layout mini tiles for greater visibility (24/04/2021)
- Finalised Why FAC page (08/05/2021)
- Started on the projects page, decided to make the page collapsible buttons (10/05/2021).
- Decided to create a final surprise button, to add a few mystery projects (18/05/2021).
- Had an issue with the collapsible buttons as the first one didn’t work, with Dragonfly I learnt how to use Dev Tools to see where the problem was. My use of nextElementSibling was the issue. (20/05/2021)
- Solved that previous issue by making a new hidden button. (21/05/2021)
- Changed the final page from Coaching to Thank You! I didn't want a content heavy final page to the project and thanking everyone was the perfect way to finish (16/05/2021)
- Finalised the Thank You! page (21/05/2021)
- Had a few issues debugging for media queries on mobile screens (800px and under). In the final coaching session, I went over the problem with Orian and Ruth and discovered that my use of margins was the root of the problem. Altering them solved the issue. (25/05/2021)
- The final issue was when I tried playing my welcome message on Safari. I added an OGG and WAV version to solve this (26/05/2021).
-
- 5 seperate tabs!
-
- Flip card about me section!
-
- Projects page with 7 unique projects!
-
- 3 dynamic collapsible button styles!
-
- Adjustable pages!
- Design inspired by websites I use everyday (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc.). The simplicity in design is what I was going for.
- A recent FAC grad (sorry can't remember your name) said their page was made up of mini projects, and that was an idea I really liked.
