SubCap is a desktop subtitle tool for players who want translated text to stay near the game screen. Select the area to read, and HUD-style subtitles appear near the upper part of the play area so you can follow in-game text without pulling your eyes away from the game.

No. SubCap downloads the required OCR and translation models after installation. This keeps the app download smaller and makes future updates easier.
Use the installer for normal use. Choose the portable package when you want to:

The installer handles the required .NET Runtime setup. For portable packages, install the .NET Runtime yourself if Windows asks for it.
