Works intil i hit save then shuts down and when i try to open again it gives me the "please add dlc manually"

I'm trying to get dlc for planet zoo and it will shut down when i hit save and to make it not give me the error i have to delete and extract it again which resets it, Nor does it give me the dlc.

i followed all the instructions right and have tried both steam options
