Plots with many flavours in PDG style

Currently one can plot several flavours on a single axis as per: https://vp.nnpdf.science/MeLG7nSSTi2BmdQtda83bw==/

But as discussed in several comments starting here: #675 (comment)

it would be desirable to have the plots in the exact style shown in: https://pdg.lbl.gov/2020/reviews/rpp2020-rev-structure-functions.pdf

it may be that this should be done externally to validphys. Although MPL is pretty flexible - I wonder if there is a style sheet/runcard that would achieve an effect which was deemed close enough?

Honestly I don't see how this is actionable. The argument that people who are no longer in PDG requested a plot in a format 7 years ago and therefore we are not allowed to change it seems frankly ridiculous to me. I would also be surprised if by same format the meant the colors, the font or the spacing instead of "g/10 and the quarks on the same axis". So I don't believe anybody should waste their time on this.

Ok let's keep it as a paper issue, for which a script hopefully already exists!
