Recently Arch did something or rather and now i am using nouveau and i am getting ~25 percent performance of what i used to get going from 1600 fps to 400 fps and i would like to know how to make the gap smaller between the proprietary and open source driver.

For clarification, nouveau and the open kernel modules in this repository are different. I recommend switching to some form of official NVIDIA production drivers for performance.

For 32-bit games, you will want to enable multilib and install lib32-nvidia-utils as well.

i switched over to 580 thinking that was the soluton

For the 3060Ti, you don't need to stay on 580. nvidia-open and nvidia-utils should give you similar performance.

Since the nouveau kernel module will be blacklisted, this should not be an issue but you may want to consider removing xf86-video-nouveau.
