Unable to provide user input on postinstall of plugin

During tns plugin add nativescript-plugin-firebase I'm unable to provide the required answers from postinstall script of the plugin.

Both

• CLI: 3.1.1
• Plugin(s): nativescript-plugin-firebase

Please tell us how to recreate the issue in as much detail as possible.

Create a new project and execute:

$ tns plugin add nativescript-plugin-firebase

This is regression in 3.1.0 similar to #2521
