Given this is a very popular mod, even being included within Modrinth's BlanketCon '25 modpack, I imagine these are false positives. Just erring on the side of caution!

Virus scans often catch jars as false positives. If you want to be safe, always build your mods from source.
CurseForge and Modrinth both have antiviruses, so if you download from those platforms, you'll probably be fine.

Yeah, stimuli likes to cause false positives to AV, which is annoying. I think it using some standard java classes, which had some issues on old (pre java 8 at least) versions of jvm and were used by some malware. It's annoying, but can't do much

If only code signing certificates didn't cost a small fortune! At least this github issue may ease some minds in the future. BitDefender was adamant that it (and about 60 registry keys) were out to get me. Thanks for clearing it up
