  1. Feature: Default Chatter Visibility
    • This feature enables users to set their default preference for showing or hiding the chatter section on all form views in Odoo.
  2. Configurations:
    • Go to your User Profile > Preferences / my profile
    • Set the Default Chatter Visibility field to either Show or Hide.
    • Save the preferences.
  3. Example:
    • Step 1: Set Default Chatter Visibility to Hide in your user preferences.
    • Step 2: Open any form view (e.g., Sales Order, Contact, Invoice). Result: The chatter section will be hidden by default.
    • Step 3: Click the Show Chatter button to reveal the chatter.
    • Step 4: Click the Hide Chatter button to hide it again.
    • Note: Users can toggle chatter visibility at any time using the on-screen buttons, regardless of their default setting.
