hello ! this is still happening with 1.0.4. only had this happening with gemini 3 pro for now

I'll look into it further, but I think if it's only sometimes happening and only with some models it's just dumb model behavior copying that there is a message in context that has [Input removed to save context] as its content. If that's true I can add some steering for the model to not do this, hopefully its something simpler though...

hm maybe gemini pro is quite weird. if it happens again, is there a way to debug if its the model actually writing that itself ?

not on the latest version, but if you try @tarquinen/opencode-dcp@beta, and have debug enabled in dcp.json, you can see logs of every message in the session in ~/.config/opencode/logs/dcp/context. In there you should be able to see what the model output, just make sure that the log you look at is before pruning.

If in that top pic there wasn't a prune later in that file of that tool it means gemini is just halucinating stuff. There's also pretty much no per model / provider settings at all in this plugin so if it's not happening in other models its just Gemini being stupid sadly

i think its only happening with gemini yeah, and thats not surprising lol.
is there something i can do to alienate this ? something in the system prompt ?
from what i understand this tool remove the content of the tool calls, but keep them still, so the model sees literally "[Input removed to save context]" for the content of a file ?

I'm getting all kind of weird inconsistencies with gemini 3 models, both flash and pro. Sometimes the model works fine and sometimes it goes totally crazy, seems to happen regardless of whether this plugin is enabled. I hope it's just an infrastructure issue and not the model just sucking. I would say for now just stick to models that are better at agentic behavior, claude/codex/glm.

Added some logic to mitigate this behavior from the model, if you see it again and you think it's not just gemini going crazy feel free to reopen.

hey, not saying this is this plugin fault as we discussed previously, just as informations, i still got something similar with Claude Opus 4.5 Thinking High (Antigravity) via opencode-antigravity-auth, opus 4.5 which is supposed to be the top of the top for agentic coding, and working really well in agentic coding:
